As foreigners far from home, our story began with the need of keeping our cultural identity alive and the wish to share the joy of our people with the diverse and beautiful communities of Tāmaki Makaurau.

Our Mission

We aim to connect hearts, inspire curiosity, and build bridges across cultures with every performance, bringing a bit of Peru’s history to life through dance.

Every step pays tribute to our ancestors; every rhythm connects us to our roots.

Tusuy is a Quechua word that means “dance”.

Founded in 2022 by Lisette Hernandez Caro, Tusuy Perú carries the heartbeat of our Land across oceans.

We are a group of dreamers united by hope, nostalgia and passion who perform at local and national multi-cultural events, as well as private events, creating unforgettable experiences filled with energy, colour and warmth.

We want everyone in Aotearoa to embrace the power of dance to connect with tradition and heritage, carrying it forward with pride.
